MB Partners' Young Driver, Casper Roes Andersen gave a strong performance at Magny-Cours at the weekend which rewarded him with fifth place in the fourth round of the French F4 series.
A lack of speed caused problems in qualifying, leaving Casper to start his races from the back of the grid. However, hard work and perseverance saw him improve as the racing continued. In race 4, he started from P10, dropping to P12 in the first lap. He then battled his way through the field to find himself P5 towards the end of the race. With only 6 minutes left, the safety car interrupted racing and hampered Casper's chances of making it any further through the field.
Casper commented: "I was happy with my pace, it's just a shame that the safety car came out in the 4th race otherwise I feel my speed was good enough for a podium finish."
Kieren Clark, head of MB Partners' Young Driver Academy, added: "Every time he goes out, Casper gets closer. He was second fastest in the race which is fantastic. We just need to understand how to approach qualifying better so Casper has less work to do in the races."
Casper's next race will be at the legendary Bugatti Circuit of Le Mans from 9-11 September.
