GDL Racing will line up three cars in the Targa Tricolore Porsche round, next weekend at the Vallelunga track. The San Marino-based team will enter a Porsche 997 in the GT3 Cup with the Emirates’ driver Bashar Mardini, who already raced for the Gianluca De Lorenzi’s squad at the last 24 Hours of Dubai, where he claimed a third finish place in his class. Mardini will take part with GDL Racing in other Italian and European races, more 12H Abu Dhabi and 2015 edition of 24 Hours of Dubai. This is his first season with Porsche so he will try to get as much experience as possible.
At the same time GDL Racing will take part next weekend in the GT Open Cup with Mohammed Al Owais and Nadir Nabib Zuhour, sharing the same Porsche. Both drivers have some experience in the Nürburgring VLN Series with smaller cars.
Different thing for more experienced Vittorio Bagnasco - last year one of the frontrunners in the Michelin Cup class of Carrera Cup Italia - and Swiss Nicola Bravetti, who will pair in the GT Open behind the wheel of a Porsche 997 GT3 Cup S, aiming to the class victory. Bagnasco-Bravetti will take part only in same selected events.
