Sun 14, Jun, 2015

Enterprising motorsport team Hillspeed is proud to announce its involvement in a new Derbyshire business initiative, Inspired by the Peak District, which aims to increase investment and opportunity for companies and employment providers in the local rural economy.

Proud of its roots in the Derbyshire Peak District, the multiple championship-winning motor racing squad from Hathersage is the latest key business from the region to sign-up with the organising body Business Peak District.

Established in 2014, the initiative is designed to give local firms in the Derbyshire Dales, Peaks and surrounding rural areas a powerful marketing edge by building a strong and recognisable brand which helps benefit trade.

Hillspeed, one of the UK’s top national motor racing teams with championship success in categories such as Formula Renault, Ginetta Junior and ARP Formula 3, is delighted to be part of the scheme and keen to develop a strong working relationship with other local partners.

“Inspired by the Peak District is a fantastic new initiative for our area and something Hillspeed is very proud to be associated with”, said team principal Richard Ollerenshaw, “Business Peak District has done a wonderful job of driving the scheme forward and we’re very keen to promote our link.

“We’re fortunate to be based in such a unique part of the country and Inspired by Peak District is helping to make the most of that, celebrating the best the area has to offer to both business and consumers. We will certainly be offering as much support to Inspired by Peak District as we can.”

By signing up to the initiative, Hillspeed joins more than 100 other businesses from across the Peak District and Derbyshire Dales, covering a wide variety of sectors including manufacturing, transport, online retail and engineering.

Chair of Business Peak District, Jim Harrison, commented: “It’s fantastic to hear that Hillspeed is adopting ‘Inspired by the Peak District’, they are a great example of the many exciting businesses based in the area who are proud of their association with the Peak District and we are delighted to have them on board.”
