Prema Powerteam picks up the teams' trophy at Hockenheim
Mon 20, Oct, 2014

While Esteban Ocon handed Prema the divers' title in the previous round of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship at Imola, René Rosin and his staff were able to celebrate for winning the teams' championship in the season finale at Hockenheim. It's been a further and a very important reward for the Italian squad, as it confirmed how dominant the Prema 2014 campaign has been.

At the German track, the team didn't get astonishing results, as the best finish was the fourth place of Ocon in Race 2 and the top qualifying performance a 7th place by the Frenchman in Qualifying. At that point the match was over. Ocon ended up 7th both in race 1 and race 3, increasing his points toll to 478.

On the other hand, Antonio Fuoco had a bitter final run of the season with a 14th place in race 1 and a crash in race 2 that resulted in a broken finger and in missing the final heat. Dennis Van de Laar rounded out the top-10 in races 2 and 3 and collected two valuable points after a tough weekend start.

René Rosin – Team Manager

"Ending the season with two championship titles is the maximum we could expect. It's not the first time, but you never get used to it and you always turn emotional. It hasn't been one of our best weekends, we didn't score podiums and I'm saddened for Fuoco who had two difficult days. Once again though, Ocon turned out to be very dependable while Van de Laar managed to score two points in the final races of the season. Now, let's focus on Macau!".
