It is being held for the third time in the historic setting of Les Invalides built in 1670 at the demand of Louis XIV to provide a home for the invalids from his armies. The 1.9-km layout has 14 corners and is thus one of the most compact on this season’s calendar providing a great spectacle for the fans who love the on-track duels.

The Renault e.dams team had a difficult race in the Rome E-Prix and they are determined to get back among the front-runners. They are delighted to be racing at home and can’t wait to take to the track in their cars and put on a stonking show in front of their home crowd.

Sébastien Buemi finished the Italian round in sixth place scoring eight points and cementing his fourth place in the drivers’ championship with 60 points and five races left to run. Nicolas Prost saw the flag in 14th spot and is hoping to bag the maximum number of points this weekend in his home event.

Last year, Sébastien scored a superb win, the fifth of the season for Renault e.dams in their chase of the manufacturers’ title while Nico clinched a solid fifth place. The two drivers are hoping to put on another excellent performance this year.

For Renault e.dams the Paris E-Prix is one that’s closest to their hearts as it’s their home event. It’s even more so for the Renault Group, which is racing in their last E-Prix around Les Invalides. So the team is more motivated than ever to be on the topmost step of the podium.

Sébastein Buemi: “I’m very pleased to be in Paris. It’s our team’s home race and also the last for Renault. I’m absolutely determined to score a good result and give it everything I’ve got. The first year I finished third and I won the race the following year so I hope to score another victory for Renault’s last outing in Paris. I think the third event will be a really memorable one as the organisation gets better every year and all our fans will be present cheering us on!”

Nicolas Prost: “So far it’s been a very difficult season for me. But there’s not a lot missing to get back among the front-runners. Obviously, Paris is a very special race for us as our fans are here en masse and I’m hoping to score a good result on Saturday.”

The market for electric vehicles has made a big leap forward compared to last year (+31%). The 100 000th Zoe was sold in Europe in March. Renault has registered more than 70 000 electric vehicles in France including over 50 000 Zoes. France is Renault’s leading market for electric vehicles.
