Team Icer Brakes was the big dominator from start to finish in the GTC class of the Spanish GT Championship and the Michelin Endurance Series. Team Icer Brakes drivers, Jesús Díez Villarroel and José Manuel de los Milagros, claimed double win driving the Dodge Viper GT Cup at the Circuit de Valencia.
Another meeting of the Spanish GT Championship and the Michelin Endurance Series was held at the Circuit de Valencia last weekend. This meeting was of great importance for Team Icer Brakes as its drivers Jesús Díez Villarroel and José Manuel de los Milagros, at the wheel of the Dodge Viper GT Cup, lead the GTC classification in both championships.
Unlike other occasions this weekend´s free practice sessions took place on Friday. Díez Villarroel and De los Milagros finished second in FP1 setting a best lap of 1:41.814 and then in FP2 clocked a lap time of 1:43.332. In the cumulative rankings they finished in the top-5 overall of the Michelin Endurance Series and the Spanish GT Championship. On Saturday morning, Team Icer Brakes duo qualified second with a time of 1:38.811, less than two tenths off the pole position time. It was presumed that the race would be difficult due to high temperatures and the weather did not want to break the forecast. Despite the Dodge Viper GT Cup, a typical American muscle car, is such a demanding racing vehicle in conditions of extreme heat were protagonists once again. Their performance was rewarded with a double win in the Spanish GT Championship, firstly, and in the Michelin Endurance Series, forty minutes after. It is worth to mention Team Icer Brakes was 3rdoverall in the MES.
The fourth and last 2014 meeting will take place at Motorland Aragon, on 28-29 November.
