Racing action will finally be back for Team Trident this weekend at the Bahrain International Circuit as the log-awaited FIA Formula 2 Championship is set for an highly-anticipated season opener. Malaysian Nabil Jeffri #16 will be joined on-track by Catalan Sergio Canamasas #17 as the Italian squad is set for a long and exciting year all the way to the November finale at Yas Marina, in the Emirates.
The season is expected to be hotly-contested, in a series that has become a pillar and a stepping stone for drivers aiming at Formula 1 like never before. The Team Trident cars will hit the track on Friday morning to capitalize from the great amount of work done by the team on the data collected in testing, both at Montmelò and at the Bahrain track located close to the Capital city of Manama.
The action will start on Friday morning at 11:30 with 45 minutes of practice, followed later the same day by Qualifying. Race 1 will take place Saturday at 13:10 while Race 2 will be taking-off Sunday at 14:20. As usual, massive TV coverage will provided by the Sky Sports networks. Regarding timezones, Bahrain is one hour ahead compared to central Europe.
