McLaren has brought a 'heavily revised' new floor to Mexico as part of its last expected major upgrade of the 2024 Formula 1 season as it fights for the drivers' and constructors' standings.

McLaren isn't the only team to bring an upgrade for this race, and is among a host of teams which have also altered bodywork with one eye on the high-altitude running required in the capital city.

McLaren

The team has available its first new floor since the Miami upgrade which allowed it to claim its first win of the season and underpinned its strong run of form that followed.

It describes ‘geometric changes in all areas’ for the floor which has 'increased aero load across all conditions'.

Its high-cooling package incorporates a tweaked sidepod/coke bottle
intersection.

Red Bull

To more efficiently incorporate the larger rear cooling outlet required for the special atmospheric conditions of Mexico City, Red Bull has enlarged the central top body.

There are also bigger cooling exits on the front brake ducts.

Ferrari

It has brought enhanced side bodywork cooling louvres for the Mexican thin air.

Williams

Like Red Bull, Williams has opted for a larger bodywork in which to incorporate the enhanced rear cooling outlet. It also has a narrower rear beam wing available which priorities drag reduction.

RB

The RB team is continuing to bring development upgrades, which include
new floor fences and floor edges with the aim of improving the power of the vortices and the speed of the underbody airflow.

There are also the circuit-specific bigger outlets and options for additional side louvres.

Aston Martin, Alpine, Haas, Mercedes and Sauber = no declared upgrades for this weekend's event.
